Литовские друзья приглашают с 20 по 22 августа в Клайпеду (Древерна) на кайтфиесту.

Мы с женой выезжаем в пятницу ночью в Клайпеду, потом в Полангу. Удивлен что еще и на Фест попадем!! И прогоноз радует, хотя наверно сольется как обычно....

В Литве все готовятся к кайтфиесте, но честно говоря проводить пати на Куршском заливе - стрёмно. Вода очень грязная, по заливу огромные зелёные пятна, если кайт в эту зелёнку упадёт, то на нём начнут расти водоросли. Я бы даже в гидрике побоялся заходить в эту грязь, прозрачность воды сантиметров пять максимум. А ведь они раньше проводили на море, там куда покруче стихия.

вода ярко-зеленого цвета, кислотного
и воняет за несколько километров
даже подходить к берегу стремно, не то что кататься в такой воде
гидрик растворится

Я предлагал ехать в Палангу сёрфить на МОРЕ, попить пивка. А на Фест можно на пару часов заехать, посмотреть как литовцы отжигают..

Event schedule:

11:00-13:00 competitors registration
13:00 skippers meeting
13:30 first possible run

24:00 Prize-giving ceremony (if all planed disciplines succeeded)

16:00. Last possible run.
Disciplines:
RACE – Long distance run using marks on the water and on the shore. Can be given more than one
race.
FREESTYLE – Riders compete in heats of fixed period of time, the better one goes through to the
next heat.
Judging criteria will be number and variety of tricks, innovations, style.
Performing unhooked tricks will be scored higher than those hooked in.
TRANSFER RACE – teams up to 5 riders in one single team are competing simultaneously with
ONE chosen kite and ONE chosen board transfering the kite and the board to eachother on a given
track. The winner is the fastest team at the finish line.
The number of disciplines may vary depending on weather conditions and participants number. The
organizers may change the event schedule during the event.
SECURITY of competirors and guests - The organizers do not take during the whole event any
responsibility in case of injury or death of participants and third parties as well as in case of damage
or total loss of property of competitors and third parties.
COMPETITION AREA - The competition area will be clearly marked on the water and/or on the
shore.
The non competitors or competitors who are not competing at given moment are not allowed to be
in the competition area. The competitors not considering these rules will be disqualified and not
allowed to take part in further competition.
JUDGING - The judging team consists of the Judge and his assistants. During the competition it is
prohibited to start conversations with judging team or try to influent the decisions of the judges.
SKIPPERS MEETINGS - All informative statements regarding the event will be announced at
skippers meetings, as well as on info desk. It is strongly recommended, due to avoid
misunderstandings, that all competitors take part in skippers meetings.
CLAIMS - All claims shall be presented to the Judge right after the actual heat in written or oral
form. The time of claim investigation will be announced on the info desk.
All competitors and event guests shall behave in appropriate form on the water as well as on the
shore.
During the event all advertising content (flags, banners etc.) which is not permitted by the
organizers as well as selling attempts will be removed after one warning. The control of the stated
above will be executed by the security team.
COMPETITION FEE is 70LTL for all disciplines, including parking and tenting in safeguarded
area and Partyzone entrance after 20:00. For competitors under 18 years of age the fee is reduced to
35LTL.
ACCOMODATION
All competitors and guests take care of the accommodation by themselves. There will be a
possibility to tent and park the cars at given area.
The parking/tenting and party areas will be enclosed with the fence and safeguarded by security
team.
The entrance to the parking/tenting area during the whole event will only be allowed with special
KITEFIESTA bracelets, the entrance to the party zone on Friday and Saturday after 20:00 will be
also allowed only with special KITEFIESTA bracelets.
The bracelets will be distributed for a small fee. For the competitors registred for the competition
this fee is already included in the competition fee.
Despite the mentioned above nor the security team, neither the organizers do not take any
responsibility for damaged or stolen belongings inside of safeguarded areas. These are only safety
measures, but they are tested and they do work.

Drive directions: from Klaipeda big round-about drive south to PRIEKULE, then follow the sign
(turn right to) DREVERNA, pass this small town and stay on the main road for about 3km, than it
will be claerly visible.
